This Medallion Quilt was inspired by my Mother’s walled garden.  A Medallion quilt is a quilt with a central block or panel that is then surrounded by a number of solid or pieced borders.  When making the borders for this quilt, you will use techniques including Half Square Triangles, Flying Geese and strip piecing.

Detailed step by step instructions are included making this suitable as an adventurous beginner’s quilt pattern.
