Straw or milliner’s needles are fine and flexible. The long shank and small round eye make them perfect for hand stitching as they can carry the thread smoothly through the cloth. They are favoured by many quilters for English paper piecing and applique. They are also the needle of choice for tacking, stitching pleats, bullion stitch embroidery and beading. Made in France from nickel-plated steel.

Love this pattern and templates set. I am new to quilting but have done loads of paper piecing and slow stitch so I will start with a smaller quilting project but when I feel confident enough this will be my first large quilt.
