Steps to Make Flying Geese - Stitch and Flip Method
To make Flying Geese (FG) via the stitch and flip method, follow these steps.
Step 1: Draw a diagonal line across the wrong side of a small square.
Place the small square on the large rectangle lining up with the outer edges. Pin the squares in place.
Stitch along the diagonal line.
Step 2: Trim away the excess corner, leaving 1/4" seam allowance from your stitched line. (The red line in the image indicates the cutting line.)
Step 3: Open the unit out and press.
Step 4: Repeat the process to the other side of the rectangle. (The red line in the image indicates the cutting line.) Trim, open the unit out and press.
Step 5: Trim the FG unit to the required unfinished size.
